Trésors du Bacchus is a small family-run wine shop, based in the heart of the Sancerre. Surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque streets, they have been selling high-quality local wines with local charm since 1988. During the year of the global pandemic, they needed to shift their sales online with a world-class webshop to compete with both local and international markets. In a market split between bargain-led mass appeal and luxury sales, we noticed a gap in the market for authenticity and a dash of humour.
Being a small family run business we wanted to translate that local, friendly, and intrinsically French feel. With their name translating in English to ‘Treasures of Bacchus’ the notoriously cheeky wine god. We saw an opportunity for a unique character. A sommelier who enjoys educating you on wine, nearly as much as he likes to drink it. Sharing his expertise, with a little tongue and cheek. He is paired with a flexible wordmark that expands and contracts to depict each part of the Tresors business ‘online sales and in-store tastings’.
We're working closely with the team of Tresors to keep their brand consistent across various channels.
